CHAMPIONING MMSST FAMILIES WITH NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

Since its inception, the Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation (MMCF) has been dedicated to making competitive skiing and snowboarding more accessible by providing need-based scholarships to families with children on the Mammoth Mountain Ski and Snowboard Team (MMSST). Recognizing the significant costs of both sports, we aim to reduce financial barriers so more young athletes can participate and thrive.

We offer three reimbursement scholarships that help families cover the costs associated with Team Fees, Competition Fees and Camp Fees. These scholarships provide tiered financial support based on household income, ensuring assistance is distributed according to need. In addition, student-athletes must maintain a minimum GPA to qualify, emphasizing the balance between academic success and athletic dedication.

For the 2023/2024 season, more than 110 applications were submitted from MMSST families, and we are pleased to announce that $178,000 in scholarships were awarded - all to help young athletes pursue their passion while balancing their education and sport.
