On June 5, 19 U.S. Freeskiing and U.S. Snowboarding athletes traveled to Tijuana, Mexico. The trip, led by Hope Sports and More Than Sports, was a three-day adventure in Tijuana where they built a house for a needy family, converting them from competitors to teammates. Two local athletes made the trip including MMSST’s Maddie Mastro and Brock Crouch a “Mammoth Athlete” and former member of MMSST. Stöckli Outdoor Sports has generously agreed to offer a pair of GS skis and a pair of SL skis to a winner of the Stacey Cook/Sun Valley Ski Tools Scholarship. Kids Adventure Games has returned to Mammoth Mountain for a second year. The Games is an adventure challenge course designed for kids in teams of two, ages 6-14, involving a range of obstacles in a mountain environment including biking, climbing and water-fun. Membership donations provide scholarships, grants and summer bike training for Mammoth athletes.
MMCF provides scholarships for Mammoth Team athletes, in-season athlete awards and grants to schools and organizations to promote participation in snow sports.
