Thank you to everyone that supported MMCF on Giving Tuesday this year!

Our goal was to fundraise money to support local school programs to participate in Ski PE at Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain. Every $100 raised goes to support one local kid to attend Ski PE.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND

Every winter season we receive a number of Grant applications from local schools (Inyo and Mono counties) looking for additional funding to make it possible for their kids to participate in Ski PE.

As you may (or may not) know, the costs around transportation, gear, food, and the actual Ski PE are expensive and in many cases make it not financially viable for schools to support or for parents to support.

Luckily, the MMCF Grant Program was designed to support educational and athletic programming for organizations throughout the Eastern Sierra. We feel that supporting Ski PE programs is an amazing way to introduce local kids to the magic that we know exists in the mountains.

GIVING TUESDAY SUPPORTS SKI PE

This year we asked all of you, our amazing community, to support MMCF on Giving Tuesday by either buying a MMCF Membership, Yodler Stein & Wine Club Membership, Broadway Express Chair Sponsorship, or making a donation to MMCF. All of the funds raised on Giving Tuesday were going to go directly to supporting the funding of Ski PE applications in our Grant Program.

Well, you generosity brought in $12,000 which will go to fund 120 kids to attend Ski PE this winter season!

Thank you! These funds will cover one whole schools annual request for Ski PE!
